DHC's outstanding olive body butter

What a brilliant product!  Japanese cult beauty brand DHC has created some of my all time favourite skincare essentials and this body butter is another one to add to the list.  Incredibly hydrating with ingredients including shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and argan oil it locks in moisture and keeps skin super soft.  At this time of year with this cold weather skin can get dried out and the perfect product can get you through it.  Fresh smooth skin and some beautiful morning sunshine is just whats needed!

Une belle peau

One of the best things about a quick trip to Paris, or really anywhere in France, is the Pharmacy stop off.  The high shelves stocked with unknown wonders are just waiting to be packed up and taken back to your beauty cupboard.  You don't think it's a coincidence that French women have such beautiful skin do you?  It's not due to the copious amounts of wine, coffee and cheese that's for sure.  If you only have space for one sneaky product in your hand luggage this spring pick up this Bioderma Crealine.  This is the best cleanser I have used in a long time.  Perfect for delicate skin this water-like solution is gentle yet still removes every trace of make up in seconds.  Bioderma is soap free and cools while it cleanses removing redness and leaving skin fresh and soothed.  This cold weather and air conditioning can reek havoc on your face so a product this gently and luxurious feeling is a must.

The best news?  A Eurostar ticket is not essential.  Gorgeous beauty site Escentual is stocking it right now and they will send it directly to you no french needed.  I highly recommend the 500ml bottle for £14.50 so you don't need to stock up for a while.  Perfect x

I will paint everything gold...

Saturday morning in Paris wearing a simple combo of my current High St favourites including Topshop white coat, DP silk style shirt and Miss Selfridge leather look shorts.  It's finished off with some Kurt Geiger chain necklaces and a Mulberry bag.  The weather was bright and crisp so perfect for city strolling and coffee.

Travelling light

I go through phases when I am completely living out of a suitcase.  My job involves quite a lot of travelling at times and you learn quickly to travel very light or regret it later.  I will never forget a stormy December in the snow in St Ives in Cornwall lugging a rather large case up a rather larger hill.  The hill won.

A weekend in Paris was just what I needed and on friday I hopped onto the Eurostar and off again 2 hours later.  With a tiny case small key items are essential and this navy jersey polo neck dress was an ideal travel companion.  Easy to pair with heels for dinner and flat studded boots for site seeing and adventure.  The best part?  They are only £5 at OMG Fashion and come in some great colours.  Check out the fashion website for great quick updates at amazing prices.

New season white out

A few months ago when I visited ASOS's Spring Summer press show I was wowed by how fantastic the collections were.  Now starting to launch on the site there are some perfect pieces to tide you over until springtime actually starts.  I have made the mistake too many time of not getting in early enough and missing out on these pieces.  The biggest trend for Spring 14 is WHITE!  White everything!  And if you don't fancy the full on white look it is easily broken down with a little black and grey.  Think french off duty model chic.  These are my favourite pieces now online.  Get them while you can xx

That Spring Feeling

The decorations are down and the home is tidy.  Pastel elements are starting to appear as I am beginning to think about spring, despite the weather.  This pink dragon cactus is perfect for adding a little prettiness to January while I work.  I am super excited about the neon pastels that were coming through at the Spring Summer press shows and this lemon-green cropped blouse that launches at Topshop this Spring will be perfect with some simple cut hem skinny jeans.  I'll be styling with white converse for day and with white Kurt Geiger heels for evening.  Finishing all my looks until April will be these matt white, mint and candy pink nail varnishes by Essie, M&S and Estee Lauder.  Sweet tooth I think!

Marsh Lands and Castles

Sunday morning spent out on the marshes by the Castle with some pretty creepy light.  You have to take any second you can get in between these storms at the moment.  One minute it's beautiful sunshine and the next it's flooding and trees coming down in front of your eyes.  I love this landscape - the only flat area of East Sussex surrounded by hills.  Im still hooked on this Topshop Coat, wearing it here with a Dorothy Perkins cami dress out in the spring and some this season Dorothy Perkins glossy boots and an All Saints snake cuff.  Lets hope we get less rain this week!

Polar bear

Happy New Year to you all!  I think 2014 is going to be a good one filled with chunky plastic sandals, the palest neon pastels and a wedding yes mine, better start planning).  Just a quick pic of my back-to-work outfit today for running around London town.  I luuve this Topshop Premium oversized cream coat and I love it even more that it was a complete sale bargain.  It's still in store although sold out online so pic one up quick.  Im wearing with my Zara leather trousers and a DP Spring sheer tee.  I cant wait to stick it on with some pastel structured shorts or a sheer sleeve dress as soon as these storms stop.

Softly softly

A little bit of cashmere goes a long way in the depths of Winter.  These were a present from my mother this Christmas and I can't wait to get them on for a lazy day of movie watching.  100% Cashmere and available in a few colours including my favourite, this mid soft grey.  What better way to treat yourself in the depths of January than these?

Small things create joy

Sometimes you fall in love with something very small that costs you under a fiver.  This was one of those times. These white rubber hair bands from & other stories create the best minimal pony tail and cost just £4 for five.  Best paired with a white tee to keep simple.
