NEW SEASON TREAT

I may have mentioned this a few times, but I love shoes.  Here are a few scrummy new drops that will take you through to spring for under £60.

THROW ME A SPANNER

Over the Christmas period clothes must fall into one of three categories: glittery, shiny or silky.  This black boiler suit is the silkiest of them all and I love it!  Super comfy and rather glam it's as good for day with ankle boots as it is for evening with a pair or party shoes.  Hop over to boohoo.com to pick up one for yourself before they fly.

HEEL, TOE.

Oh my.  There are so many things I love about 70s fashion and camel snake print and block heels are two of them.  These rounded toe ankle boots are well and truly on my wish list to carry me through into Spring.  I shall be pairing mine with a simple white tee, royal blue skinny jeans and large tortoiseshell sunglasses for stomping the streets by day. Snap up yours today before they slither away.

RUN, RUN, CLICK, CLICK

I am a huge lover of Debenhams designer collections and have made several purchases this year from Todd Lynn EDITION, Betty Jackson Black and H by Henry Holland.  I thought I would share my favourites from the designers Sale with you as there are some amazing bargains.  This Todd Lynn shaggy long fur jacket is ideal for over the festive period but will look just as good this spring over a breton tee.  At only £60 it is an absolute steal.  Get designer hunting at Debenhams.com.

TALL REEDS AND BLUE SILK

Today's bright but chilly weather calls for chunky knits worn with pretty lace.  I adore these crinkled silky blackberry shorts which are just the right length to be worn for day with tights and flat boots.  Lacey lingerie-style pieces add a little glitz to bleak winter days and these boohoo ones come in beautiful strong gem colours.  Style this pair for evening with a silk camisole and some pointy suede ankle boots.

SAILOR SAILOR

Just a few pre-6am snaps of today's outfit as I just had to show you this great stripe knit from High St favourite New Look.  It's a great cut in a ribbed texture and looks far more than its £22.99 price tag.  I love it over this boyfriend shirt but it's also fabulous with a full leather midi-skirt.  It was a small impulse buy that has become an everyday staple.  I also picked up a nude full sequin top and a sheer sports tee that were great prices and are beautiful.  I will be visiting more frequently New Look!

A WORLD AWAY

With its vast harbour, mirror skyscrapers and the best Sushi restaurant in the World (in my opinion), Vancouver was a city that wowed. The Pacific Rim Fairmont hotel has views in every direction so whether you want a cityscape or endless water this is the place to stay. After a long flight the comfortable suite with all the essentials of a Nespresso machine and a deep marble bath were catered for.

The city is full of contrasts with the beautiful old Gas Town full of Diners serving buttermilk pancakes with pulled pork and stunning girls in dungarees hanging out with their bull dogs drinking coffee. At the edge of the chic, modem harbour was Japanese restaurant Miku where too many hours were spent ordering platters of fresh seafood and handmade sushi. Watching the chefs with their blades and blow-torches entertained whilst watching the sun set over the harbour. Almost everything in the city is walkable and it is best to do so as this is how the best vintage denim stores and donut stands are discovered.

I cannot recommend this city enough on its own as part of a larger trip...and don't forget to try the Sushi!  See you soon Vancouver.

SPARKLE

There are so many beautiful, beautiful things in the stores at the moment.  Whilst Christmas shopping I am very much one for you, one for me. Here are a few of my fashion favourites to get you inspired for any last minute shopping you need to do.  I adore the Hugo Guinness sweats for J Crew and this 'Bliss' one will look effortless styled over this Topshop foil edge dress.  Make sure you stock up on these double ball earrings in every colour as great additional presents.

GREEN & GREY

I have a serious crush on this mix of dark green leathers and dove grey layers and Marks and Spencer are doing it particularly well. Their recent drop includes everyday essentials in luxury fabrics and great cuts. This grey cocoon coat is a winter classic and is as fabulous worn now layered over a grey knit as when spring hits over a pastel dress with bright heels. Leather tees are the ideal way to do laid back glamour and paired with jeans and ballet pumps look amazing for everyday.

I can't wait to get my hands on this collection and all these pieces are now online. If you're in store don't forget to pick yourself up a little snack of pigs in blankets with a cranberry dip too!

A LITTLE VINTAGE TOUCH

On the morning of your wedding the last thing you want to worry about is how your hair is going to look.  Stress is definitely best kept to a minimum. When I met Clare the first time to chat about what I was after I knew she was perfect for the job.  Clare makes you feel relaxed whilst using her amazing eye for detail to deliver your prefect style.  I wanted something simple, a little messy with a vintage twist and she delivered exactly what I was after.  The best thing is it stayed put all day!  Not a hair out of place.  If you are currently planning a wedding I highly recommend giving her a call.  Thank you Clare xx

LIGHTNING & SUN BEAMS

I adore the ever changing landscape surrounding me at home and recently one of my favourite trees was struck by lightning.  The ancient giant came crashing to the ground and turned ice white with a coal centre.  Simply extraordinary.  Today it glistened in the Winter sunshine and was just asking to be shot.

This coat was a great reminder to me to always mix the High St with my more classic designer pieces.  Teddy bear soft and a great oversized cut this sugar pink beauty cost just £20 from Primark.  I know, what a bargain!  I'm wearing it here with a Topshop cami and waxed jeans and a pair of Alexander Wang mules.  The coat is in store now and comes in several colours including Black and a pale dove grey.

Coat - Primark

Cami and Jeans - Topshop

Mules - Alexander Wang
