THE RACHEL BACKPACK

Atterley Road is one of my favourite online stores, always filled with beautiful modern pieces with a lot of lust factor.  From denim shirts to tailored trousers and stocking brands Y.A.S, French Connection and their own line, there is aways a great selection of wardrobe updates.  This well named white 'Rachel Backpack' is in their Mid-Season Sale for just £23.00.  Far better than an easter egg if you ask me!

ERBORIAN PERFECTION

The best thing about a lazy Saturday morning is having the chance to try out scrummy beauty products in bed whist sipping fresh coffee and reading beautiful magazines.  These Erborian treats were top of my experimentation list so I was thrilled to have some time with them.

To be honest the CC Cream has been tried before.  When I was given this at a beautiful Erborian event in London I used the CC Cream the next day and I have been addicted to it since then.  This is a perfect primer or great on its own.  It's a white cream that when rubbed into the skin turns to a flesh colour and smooths on perfectly blurring imperfections and leaving a lovely light coverage.  For weekends this is where I stop, however during the week when I want more coverage I then apply my liquid foundation on top.  This then stays put all day.  I cannot imagine not owning this product now.  It's an absolute essential in my make-up bag.

So I was really just trying the Sleeping BB Mask (which I had applied the evening before) and the Herbal Energy Cleanser.  The mask is like having a day is a spa and super simple.  Just apply a thin layer of this product that feels like a moisturiser before going to sleep.  In the morning your face will feel baby soft and energised.  Wash off (although you can't tell their is anything left on unlike other masks) and you are good to go.

The Herbal Energy Cleanser is a delight to use and gently removed the thickest make-up and most stubborn mascara with just a wipe clean.  It leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated.  A must try for an easy life.

Grab your passport, lets go

There are times when you just need to pack a bag, turn off your phone and get away from it all.  There are some  places that will wow you into forgetting about reality and change the way you think, forever.  For me, it’s all about tall mountains and deep wide lakes.  Alberta and the Rockies has them both in volume.

Banff may be better known for its fantastic ski seasons, but in the summer the town becomes a hidden paradise.  Banff boasts the deepest bear filled forests, the widest turquoise lakes and the tastiest bison burgers you will ever feast on.

I travelled to Banff last September and spent 4 days staying at The Hidden Ridge Resort, which is made up of Luxury Condos surrounded by forest.  The location is ideal for hiking and relaxing whist being walking distance from the town – just watch out for the coyotes!  Our condo was a 2 bed, made up of three floors and an open plan living space with roaring open fires and great views over the mountains.  There is an outdoor Jacuzzi which is perfect after a long day walking or kayaking.

Banff town is quaint and pretty, filled with shops selling designer winter clothing and fantastic restaurants.  Be sure you book any restaurant visits in advance as the town gets very busy.  My favourite evening was spent at The Bison (here), where they serve the most delicious steak and burgers, all locally sourced.

Make sure you take full advantage of the activities whist there.  The kayaking is great fun and the clear waters mean you can see all the animals swimming around just below you.  You will not believe the colours of the lakes, some turquoise and some bottle green.  Hiking will take you above the clouds and with views to die for.

Pretty Pandora

A few weeks ago I was kindly invited along to Pandora's launch of their Wishing Tree - A tree that will sit at the centre of their gifts campaign for this year.  The beautiful jewellery brand is the perfect destination for that special present for Mothers Day, a friends birthday or just for yourself as a little treat.  Get some ideas now on their gifting pages here and check out the video below from the event and us trying to make some origami flowers to go on the tree.  It's harder than it looks I promise.

Below are a few of my current favourites up on the Pandora site.  I can't get enough of their silver rings and these twisted styles give the stacking effect in one go.  Easy peasy!

Wrap Bubble Ring £170

Sparkling cross over ring £70

Entwining silver ring £115

Weekly lusts

One of my favourite shows from the past few weeks was Dolce & Gabbana with there classic ladylike with a twist.  The fun motif and lace shift dresses and long sleeve print dresses were all paired with bare legs and elegant court shoes.  I am lusting after these pairs to add some class to my spring looks.

March

The beginning of March bought bright sunshine and I couldn't resist an outing in my new Forever 21 flatbed sandals.  This & other stories silk trench coat is brilliant in the wind, making you feel rather like Dracula.  I'm lucky to live just five minutes away from the spectacular Pevensey Castle with it's ancient stone walls.  If you have never been it is well worth a visit.
