No more tears

A little outfit post for you from my busy, busy Friday rushing around London.  I am wearing this beautiful Boohoo dress sent to me from the lovely team.  It is the perfect length and texture with longer sleeves for this Autumn weather.  White dresses are the perfect way to take summer into winter.  I've thrown this one on with a Dolce & Gabbana leather Jacket, Primark fur gilet and my Angelic Blick for Nelly.com shoes - perfect for those days you need flats.  My rings are by amazing new designer Amanda at Crystal and Stone London - check her out on Etsy as soon as possible as she is fabulous!  More pictures of my shoes and rings coming soon.

Check out my new wants from boohoo's Autumn collection:

Not Just Cavalli

"Im not normally a Cavalli girl" is what pretty much everyone has said about their SS13 show.  It was beautiful!  I'm not actually sure if I preferred the sheer nude skirts with metallic knits or the pastel lemon cigarette pants with the white body.  I do know I AM now a Cavalli girl (or will be as soon as I can get my hands on those tea set print trousers).  Just Cavalli's catwalk show felt well put together and extremely wearable - there was a definite Marant feel about it.  The key trend was White, and lots of it.  White blazers, white blouses, white shoes... all rather delicious.  Thank you Just Cavalli xx

Super Glossy

Possibly the best thing to be delivered to my door.  My beauty obsession is getting a little out of hand, but i have found the cure to stop me spending hours on beauty sites and still find out and try the best new products. GlossyBox is the great site that you can subscribe to for just £10 a month (less if you join for a year or 6 months) and get a stunning beauty box delivered to your door.  The September GlossyBox is designed by illustrator Maggie Li and contains a selection of miniatures that could include Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream (amazing!),  Lady Gaga's new fragrance and The Body Shops Vit E moisturiser along with many more.  I seriously cannot think of anything better than getting one of these gems delivered each month.  What's in Octobers Box Glossy?

Department Store Lust

There is something about Winter and Department Stores isn't there?  At this time of year I just cannot get enough of them.  I am sat in front of my open fire with a large glass of red of a Sunday evening and it feels a bit like Christmas is coming.  It's not wrong to start thinking about a Christmas list is it?  House of Fraser is not only an amazing shopping wonderland on many floors but it also has a great website so I can now shop from my own cosy home.  I am in love with their range of beautiful Stella McCartney underwear and their large patent totes in wintery colours by L.K. Bennett.  Check out the site now.

Brrr Ireland

Last week I was in Ireland setting up a store I've been working on.  I got off the plane and it hit me ... Autumn.  I spend day one freezing in the six degree weather and then determined to beat day two I stuck on a few of my winter favourites.  The grey knit is H&M, the blouse with sequin collar is a New Look special (similar here), the fur is Topshop, bag is Burberry and my Shoes are Primark.  My watch is Michael Kors and bracelet is Links of London.  The hotel was fabulous - but the carpet is pretty retro hey?

The Italian Job

As Fashion Week moved to Milan one of the shows that hugely stood out was Emporio Armani's Spring Summer 2013.  Light weight silks and satins in nude colour pallets floated down the catwalk.  Mushroons, Oysters, Camels and Metallics elegantly styled looked very Olivia Palermo and very wearable.  Beautiful heels were balanced by city flats, chic short suits against khaki military inspired silk dresses.  I would love to wake up in January and wear everything from this collection until Autumn.  The make-up and hair was nude and elegant with everything having a very day-to-night feel. If this is what Spring has to offer then lets get going!

Spring is looking Unique

On Sunday afternoon the High St Giant turned True Designer took to the catwalk again for what I would class as their second breathtaking show.  Last fashion week we were all rather blown away by Topshop Unique's grown up, wearable collection of Military inspired, beautiful clothing.  Launching online and in stores now, their super high army boots and leather pleat skirts are simply yum!  Guess what?  They have done it again.

This time we have oversized silk blazers and minimal sportwear inspired suits in graphic prints.  The sheer fabric dresses and trousers were more Calvin Klein that High St shop.  White was the overall feel with touches of black, print and yellow -  a 90s feel but still very modern.  I cant wait to get my hands on the white silk mens style blazer to wear over a Unique shift.  Thats my Spring/Summer 13 sorted.  Thanks Toppers xx

Toys for Girls

I'm sure you know by now that I am a bit of a fan of online beauty sites, and get rather excited when a new one launches.  Well it has.  Ideal Beauty Products - here - stocks amazing products that are not widely available.  One of it's most exciting products is Perfect Match Gel Nails.  Yes, you CAN have gel nails at home, and it is super super easy.  You use the nails base coat, colour and top coat whist and set in the UV light in between for between 1-3 minutes.  The instructions are easy, and there is even a DVD to watch before, although not essential.  The process takes about 15 minutes to do, and lasts around 2 weeks.  I used the Red Bird nail colour which is a bright ruby red before and no amount of washing up or gardening chipped it.  The colour above is the Campari Soda, a kind of burgundy.  I don't actually think I could ever go back to nail varnish that only lasts a few days.  Great product and a great site with quick delivery and helpful service, Thanks Ideal Beauty Products xx
