Ring a Ring of Roses

I'm sure some of you will remember that this time last year I was renovating a house.  Well that one hundred year old shell that we fell in love with is now my home... and finished (or as close to as you ever get after moving in).  I am now constantly on the hunt for the perfect unique items to fill it with.  I recently discovered this beautiful online boutique, Rose and Grey - roseandgrey.co.uk.  The store is filled with perfect home wares from vintage inspired side tables to blackboard wall stickers for the finishing touches.  I have shortlisted this wonderful 'kiss' cushion that would be ideal for valentines day and forever more.  I also love this coat rack, that will go perfectly behind my front door.  Lovely site that I will be stocking up from xx

Spring has sprung early at Biba

How beautiful are these new collection spring handbags from Biba at House of Fraser?  Biba has gone from strength to strength since it recently returned to our high st's and it looks like it is heading for an essential Spring range too.  These super soft, bright pastel leather bags landed in stores and I for one cannot stop drooling over them.  Surely one of these would brighten every outfit, and mood, until Spring actually arrives.  Great work Biba!! Yum xx

Naked in the Snow

Well we may be deep in snow right now but I am still loving all things Spring, including fresh, pretty pastel coloured make-up.  This Naked 2 eye palette from Urban Decay is to die for, with every shade of matt and shimmery nudes you could need.  There are deeper greys and purples to add depth and the perfect brush to apply.  If you don't already own a naked compact, this is the one to get.  You will wonder how you got through your daily make-up routine without it.  I ordered this, and the Prettiest pale pink lip gloss from the great brand NARS off my new website discovery HQhair.com.  This perfect site stocks all things beauty, from must have hair care to brand new beauty. Im looking forward to ordering a few more products, including their hair masks from Kerastase and their make up from Pixi.  Check it out now xx

Snow Queen

Today I am seriously wrapped up warm!  London is freezing - this morning it was -5, which for England is pretty cold.  I am wearing my vintage goat coat that I picked up in Brighton, Burberry bag, Topshop black skinny Jeans and Aldo spike wedge trainers.  5 inches of snow expected tomorrow - brr.

Kiss Me Quick

As promised, a few more January Skin essentials to save your skin. I've recently discovered the gorgeous skin care ranges by Murad ( www.murad..co.uk ) and just can't get enough of their delicate products. I would highly recommend the Soothing Skin Lip and Cuticle care stick £13, which is easily the best lip balm I have ever used. It soaks in and leaves lips moisturised for hours. The fact you can also use it for skin and hands makes it the ideal handbag item! I'm never leaving the house without it. I am also currently using the Sensitive skin soothing serum £49 which locks in moisture and calms redness. I love that it is light and not at all oily. I am putting it on at night and during the day under my moisturiser. It feels lovely and after 4 days I can already see a difference. I would highly recommend this great brand. Give it a try xx

Louis Vuitton does Pre A/W 13

How utterly beautiful is this Pre Autumn Winter 2013 Collection from Louis Vuitton.  Lots of lace. Lots of oversized coats. Lots of ruffles. The bright red lips and cropped dark hair just adds to the drama. A few of my favourite pieces are the 60s pea coats and suits in scarlet and cobalt blue, and the boxy LV bags in reds and lace. It's a very glamorous but fun range that I can't wait to see in the stores. I am taking the patterned tights and red lips and adding them to my outfits right now! Perfect xx

Black and Blue

London is freezing this week, and only getting colder with snow forecast for the weekend.  Running around London I managed to stay warm in this gorgeous New Look Premium long coat in black and navy that I picked up before Christmas.  I'm still living in these studded Aldo wedge trainers - they are super comfy.  Next week I may be adding a fur hat, gloves and scarf to these outfits! Brr.

When every brick, every bar, every elegance I see, I see her face,

London has gotten colder again this week and so out came the trusty old vintage fur.  This coat was purchased around ten years ago and I think cost me £12.  It was vintage and too big and I love it, always have always will.  I have given my mesh hair donut a go today and although my hair isn't really thick enough or long enough to give it oomph, I still rather like it.  Managing to have three sculls on my wrists so pretty proud of that.  You cant really tell from the pictures but this dress is a great New Look find at only £16.99 with a waffle fabric and perfect drop waist.  Keep warm all xx

Bun Mesh Donut (comes in 2 sizes) - New Look - £3.99

Necklace H&M - Old

Skin Rescue for Chilly January : Part 2

As promised, my mission to save your skin in January, February, March... as long as this cold weather lasts.  This time I have been shopping at the luxury site, The Urban Retreat Beautique, which stocks beautiful brands including Tom Ford and Nars.  The Brand of choice is Estelle & Thild, which boasts gentle skin care straight from Sweden.  I am hooked on the Fragrance Free Face Cream.  This super gentle moisturizer is thick and soaks right in, perfect for those days when your skin has taken a battering in the wind and cold.  The Estelle and Thild Facial Toner is simply wonderful, leaving skin clean and soft.  Sweden always seems to have the edge and these products are wonderful.  I cant wait to try more of the collection.

Stock up on Estelle and Thild at www.urbanretreat.co.uk

2013 - The Year Of The Mini Break

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2013 Is going to be a great one.  I travel a lot with (and without) work, although it is as likely to be Salcombe on the coast of Devon here in England as Florence or Barcelona.  This year one of my many, many new years resolutions is to turn any trip into a great adventure... life is what you make it.  So from now on when I am packing my travel bags to head to St Ives for work, I will be taking the bull by the horns and putting my trip firmly into the 'Mini Break' category.  The BEST way to do this is with my new favorite site, style-passport.  style-passport.com is the ultimate online boutique for holiday shopping - to anywhere.  I have fallen in love with the great brands and holiday products to suit any adventure.  My must haves to complete my super chic travel bag for 2013 are this Matthew Williamson Floral tee and this perfect Zimmermann bikini.  Take a look at this great online fashion site to transform your trips.  Enjoy xx
